Erica von Schenk is the Associate Director of Visitor Experience at the Columbia Museum of Art, located in the heart of Columbia, South Carolina. Erica grew up in Connecticut before her family moved to South Carolina, and was raised with an appreciation for the arts. She attended the University of South Carolina. After working for many years in the restaurant industry, she brought her customer service and
management experience to the museum field. Starting with a part-time position supervising the welcome desk at CMA in 2017 and holding a few positions in communications and membership before transitioning to her current role as head of visitor experience. Erica has a passion for connecting with the community and has previously served on the board of Girls Rock Columbia. She loves conferences and has been attending VEX since 2019.
