The National Constitution Center (NCC) is our primary host institution for the 2026 Visitor Experience Conference. The keynote and sessions on Monday, October 12 and the roundtable breakfast and workshops on Tuesday, October 13 will be hosted at the NCC. Below is some information regarding the accessibility of the NCC.

• Entry

  • ​All National Constitution Center entrances and public spaces are accessible to wheelchair users. Elevators are located throughout the building.  

• Parking

  • Designated spaces are available in the National Constitution Center parking garage for visitors with disabilities. The garage entrance is located on Race Street between 5th and 6th Streets. Fees apply. 

• Wheelchairs 

  • Wheelchairs for use within the Center are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis at the Box Office. 

• Restrooms 

  • Accessible restrooms are located on the first floor behind the main staircase and on the second floor in the F.M. Kirby Auditorium lobby. Single/family/gender neutral restrooms are also available on the first floor.

• Service Animals

  • Service animals are welcome in the building. There is ample green space in front of the museum for service animal relief.​

• Sensory Tools

  • ​Sensory tools, including noise-canceling headphones and calm down items, are available for use during visits at the Center. Please contact Kristina Marinello, senior director of museum experience, at 215-409-6678 or kmarinello@constitutioncenter.org to reserve these items.

• For Individuals Who Are Blind or Have Low Vision

  • Large print scripts are available for use during performances of Freedom Rising. Please notify the admissions desk when you arrive for a copy. Supplies are limited.  

  • Individual handheld captioning devices are available to provide audio descriptions of Freedom Rising. Please notify the admissions desk when you arrive to secure a device. Supplies are limited. 

• For Individuals Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

  • Assistive listening systems are available for the Center’s public programs and Freedom Rising free of charge. Advance notice is not required. Please notify an usher when you arrive to secure a device. Supplies are limited. 

  • Opened captioning or printed scripts are provided for a majority of the videos, audio soundtracks, and interactive displays throughout the Center’s exhibits. 

  • Individual handheld captioning devices are available to provide captioning of Freedom Rising. Please notify the admissions desk when you arrive to secure a device. Supplies are limited. 

  • The National Constitution Center provides sign language interpretation free of charge for visitors to the museum. Print materials can also be provided in advance for interpreters accompanying individuals or groups. For individuals, arrangements must be made at least five days in advance of your visit.
